Kyle Younger
Career Counselor and Employer Relations Manager
Dr. Kyle D. Younger is a higher education leader, career development professional, and educator with more than two decades of experience helping students navigate academic, personal, and career transitions. As Career Counselor and Employer Relations Manager with MissionWise at The New School’s Center for Military-Affiliated Students, he supports military-connected learners in achieving their educational and professional goals.
Raised in a family with a proud tradition of military service, Younger's father served in the U.S. Army, his grandfather served in the U.S. Navy, and numerous relatives have served in the Army, Marine Corps, and Air Force. This family legacy gives him a personal appreciation for the sacrifices and strengths of military families and informs his commitment to serving military-affiliated students.
Younger holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from Seton Hall University, an Ed.M. from Teachers College, Columbia University, a master's degree from Montclair State University, and a bachelor's degree from Thomas Edison State University. Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles in career services, advising, and student success at colleges, universities, and a medical school, helping students connect their education to meaningful careers and lives of purpose.
A first-generation college graduate, Younger is passionate about creating opportunities for students to thrive academically, professionally, and personally. He lives in South Orange, New Jersey, where he remains active in community engagement and music.
