Curtis Dorval is a U.S. Air Force Veteran, artist/filmmaker/performer, and communication leader. Before coming to The New School, he worked for various social justice and environmental justice organizations, as well as New York City’s Department of Veterans’ Services. His artistry tends to explore freedom, Americana, and justice through the lens of current societal pressures. Curtis is the founder and director of the CineVet Veteran Film Showcase (hosted by CMAS), which has partnered with AMC Global Media and focuses on meaningful dialogue between the military-affiliated and “civilian” community.
